Universe Computers Co. WLL (Universe) has signed a prestigious, multi-million dollars worth contract – IT Master Plan Phase II -- with Al- Khafji Joint Operations, (KJO).
KSA, Al Khafji. 26 March 2007 – KJO signifies a Joint Operation between Aramco Gulf Operations Company (AGOC) and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company KSC. (KGOC) for Oil and Gas exploration development & production, which is based in Al-Khafji, the offshore area of the divided ex-neutral zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. The contract signing took place during a formal ceremony hosted by KJO, in its Head Quarters, wherein key executives of KJO and
Universe, were present.
The 3 years’ project involves re-building KJO’s Voice and Data Networks to enable KJO gain complete engineering, procurement and construction of state-of-the-art Information Technology System. This project covers KJO’s business as well as community sectors. Ultimately, through execution of the IT Master Plan Phase II,
Universe’s task is to ensure that KJO will have a smooth and flawless transition from its current multiple-network infrastructure towards a customized converged communication platform for Voice, Data and Video applications. The end goals would include simplification of the network, attainment of the best available technologies under the scope of this project and commercial benefits to KJO.
